Fall Crochet Shrug

What do you think about when you hear fall? Do you think of colorful leaves, campfires or snuggling up against the chill of the evening? This adorable fall crochet shrug is the perfect thing to keep you warm and cozy on those crisp, cool evenings of fall.

I have been wanting to crochet a shrug or shawl for a while. They just seem so warm and cuddly. (Plus, I love that you can just throw it on and look like you care a little bit about how you look, which for a mom with small kids, doesn’t always happen!) So when I saw the free pattern for this crochet shrug from Annoo’s Crochet World, I knew I wanted to try it.

With fall in full swing here, I wanted to put a little fall twist on it. So I decided to use one of my favorite yarns, Caron Simply Soft, in Chocolate, Pumpkin and Bone. Even the color names fit into my fall theme!

I did have to make a slight adjustment though. In the free pattern she used 9.0mm hook, but I didn’t have one of those so I used my K/6.5mm hook. I just need to add a couple of extra rows to make up for the smaller hook. It really worked up easily and I enjoyed working on this project!

What colors would you use to make your shrug? I’d love for you to tell me in the comments below! Thanks for checking in with me and …

Happy Hookin’!
