Sunflower Applique

What’s the best part of fall? Honestly, I don’t think I could pick just one thing … or even two things. There are so many amazing parts to love about fall. To me sunflowers are a beautiful way to usher in this wonderful season. So of course I had to create my own sunflower appliqué.

I created a large and small version for you to enjoy. I also included some different ideas of how you can use your sunflowers.

Materials:

Medium Worsted Weight Yarn – Yellow and Brown
I used Caron Simply Soft in Chocolate and Super Duper Yellow
G/4.5mm
Yarn Needle
Scissors

Measurements:

Small – 3 ½ “
Large – 4 ¼ “
Sunflower sizes can also be made larger by using a larger hook size,  or smaller by using a smaller hook size.

Stitches:

sc – single crochet
hdc – half double crochet
dc – double crochet
tr – treble crochet
ch – chain
st – stitch
sl st – slip stitch
rnd – round

Pattern Notes:

This pattern is written in US terms
Chains do not count as a stitch

Now that you have your sunflower made, how are you going to use it? Here are some the ways I used mine.
