Y’all! I can’t even explain how excited I am to finally be sharing this project with you!
I have a dear sweet friend who has struggled for many years with trying to conceive, the loss of a stillborn and a miscarriage. When she told me that she was expecting again, I knew I wanted to make something special for her little rainbow baby.
(For those of you who might not know what a rainbow baby is, it’s what people call a baby that is born after a previous miscarriage or stillbirth.)
This is not my pattern but when I saw it, I knew that it would make an adorable rainbow baby hat. You can find the original pattern here.
Seriously though y’all, these colors are so vibrant! I love it!
I’m also super proud of the pom-pom that I made to go with it. This was probably only the second, or third, pom-pom that I’ve ever made. I made it using just my hand. Here’s a great picture tutorial for you to follow if you’ve never done it before.
I hope this project inspires you to make something special for someone you know who might be going through something similar.
In case you missed it, here’s the Original Hat Pattern.
